Hi!
So excited about this one.
I've been going through Brooke's puzzles on her blog, and I've been really inspired by how she clues her grids. Most of the puzzles on the site have a normal set of clues, as well as an "experimental hard" set.
I love hard clues so much, but it's daunting to write a set of hard clues. With previous blog puzzles, I'd occasionally throw in a hard clue or two, but I feel like that can be jarring for the solver.
So, I'm trying a Brooke-style cluing for this puzzle. One [Chill] set of clues, and one "experimental hard" set, which I'm calling [Not Chill]. The harder set omits certain conventions, like slang/abbreviation indicators, and is just a sillier time overall (I'm looking at you, 49-Across).
I've never written two clue sets for a single grid before, but I'm really, really happy with how this turned out. Not to mention the grid, which I also love.
I hope you enjoy, happy solving!
